Welcome to my Route 66 hotel planning page. Following the route plan which is available here ....the route will cover the entire length of the old route 66 - with a few diversions - but no gaps! The following table sets out the hotels we're planning to stay at en route. Mostly through convenience and also because many of them have close access to a number of local amenities. I've also included the approximate driving distance covered during the day for reference. Where mileage is not included is either because it is nurgatory or simply not known at this time. My advice is book early, always book with a credit card, always obtain a receipt for your booking and always shop around for prices at the same hotel. It can be cheaper to book direct with the hotels own brand website than go through a hotel/travel website but beware pitfalls such as reduced service or no breakfast or no internet included etc. |
