Welcome to the Route 66 route page. This page documents the whole of route 66 from Chicago to Santa Monica by providing a series of Google Map page links that open to provide the viewer with the routes as documented on the route plan page. As this site is for our own personal trip you may find some more obvious diversions however these can easily be ignored and therefore excluded from your own trip The links include the entire route 66 without gaps. You may find this useful if you need to view the route from either a mobile device or you are unable to use or install the software as shown on my route plan page if you are using an open source operating system, for example. Google maps uses a sequence which allows a user to dictate a URL and enable google maps to open a series of GPS addresses.
